University Of Mines And Technology UMaT Admission Requirements
The following are the admission requirements necessary to gain admission into the undergraduate programme of University of Mines and Technology.
SSSCE Candidates
Candidates must have credit passes (A-D) in THREE CORE SUBJECTS in English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science and passes in THREE SCIENCE ELECTIVES in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
 
WASSCE CANDIDATES
Candidates must have passes (A1-C6) in THREE CORE SUBJECTS in English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science and passes in THREE SCIENCE ELECTIVES in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
 
GENERAL CERTIFICATE OF EDUCATION (GCE) ‘ADVANCE’ LEVEL CANDIDATE
Candidates must have passes in THREE (3) SUBJECTS (at least, one of the passes should be Grade D or better). Also the applicant must have had credits passes (Grade 6) in five (5) GCE ORDINARY LEVEL subjects including English, Mathematics and an Arts subject for science students.
 
MATURE CANDIDATES
Candidates must have attained 25 years of age and must have passes in FIVE SUBJECTS at SHS LEVEL including, English Language and Mathematics or credits in FIVE SUBJECTS at GCE ORDINARY LEVEL including, English Language and Mathematics. In addition, candidates must have relevant working experience and must pass an interview conducted by the Department.
