UENR ADMISSION APPLICATION | HOW TO APPLY

ON-LINE REGISTRATION
All applicants are to complete the on-line application registration using the serial number on the Admission Form. A printed copy must be attached to the completed Forms and submitted to any GHANA POST OFFICE near you. To fill the Online Registration form, click here and follow the steps to complete the forms.
COMPLETED FORM
A completed ADMISSION FORM should be sent to the Post Office together with photocopies of certificates or results slips and in the case of Mature Applicants, birth certificates and any other relevant document(s) should also be attached and sent to the address below:

Any applicant who wants to pay his/her fees abroad should pay at any ECOBANK BRANCH or AFFILIATE, to an Account Name and Number OR pay by International Money Order made payable to UENR.
Completed Application Forms must be accompanied by a processing fee. A printed copy of the completed ADMISSION FORMS together with all other relevant documents should be sent either by post or e-mail to

UENR 2018/2019 Admission Requirements

University of Energy and Natural Resource Entry Requirements

Admission is open to:

i. SSSCE holders with credit passes (A-D) in English LanguageMathematics and Integrated Science plus credit passes (A-D) in Three Elective subjects relevant to the programme of study with an aggregate score of 24 or better.

 

ii. WASSCE holders with credit passes (A1-C6) in English LanguageMathematics and Integrated Science plus credit passes (A1-C6) in Three Elective subjects relevant to the programme of study with an aggregate score of 36 or better.

 

iii. ADVANCED LEVEL holders with credit in at least Five (5) subjects at the GCE ‘O’ Level (or its equivalent) including English and Mathematics, plus at least two passes in the subjects relevant to the programme of study.

iv. HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA HOLDERS in a related course with at least 2nd Class Lower Division. In addition, applicants must have acquired at least Two (2) years post HND working experience.

v. UNIVERSITY DIPLOMA HOLDERS in a related course with at least a Pass. In addition applicants must have acquired at least Two (2) years post Diploma working experience,

vi. MATURE STUDENTS. The applicant must have attained the age of 25 years by September 1, 2018, and show proof of the age with a birth certificate or any legitimate documentary proof of the date of birth. In addition, applicants should have at least credit passes in English Language and Mathematics in SSSCE/WASSCE or any other nationally recognized standard High School level examinations. In lieu of such qualification, applicants must pass a

Mature Students’ Entrance Examination conducted by the University in English Language, Mathematics and Aptitude Test.

vii. FOREIGN APPLICANTS and all others who have any of the above qualifications or their equivalences from an accredited/recognized institution.

viii. OTHER QUALIFICATIONS Other qualifications acceptable for consideration include International Baccalaureate (IB), IGCSE, American Grade 13 Examinations and other external qualifications which have equivalences to the WASSCE/SSSCE and the GCE (A Levels).

Candidates with Science, General Arts, Visual Arts, Home Economics and General Agriculture background can apply for the BSc Hospitality Management and BSc Resource Enterprise and Entrepreneurship programmes.
