The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Kumasi is one of the best universities in Ghana and Africa as a whole.
It is specialized in the training of students in the sciences. It was established by the first president of the republic of Ghana (Dr. Kwame Nkrumah) to serve as a training ground for the technological advancement of the west African Country – Ghana.
It is mostly ranked second after the premier university in Ghana – University of Ghana, Legon in most local and international rankings.
Though it was established mainly to train students in the sciences, it now has departments and faculties taking care of some programmes in the humanities. The take social science programmes such as political studies, Economic and the likes. The also train students in Law and Business related subjects.
