GENERAL RECRUITMENT EXERCISE 2017/18
The Ghana Immigration Service invites job applications from suitably qualified Ghanaians for enlistment into the Service.
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
All candidates are to satisfy the following requirements:
1) GRADUATE ENTRY [GENERAL DUTIES]

  • Must be a Ghanaian citizen by birth with no criminal record.
  • Must possess a first Degree.
  • Must have completed National Service.
  • Must be of a minimum age of 18 and not more than 30 years by 31st December, 2017.
  • Must be physically and medically fit.
  • Must be of good character.
  • Must not be bonded.
  • Must have a minimum height of 1.68 metres (5ft 6inch) for Males and 1.57 metres (5ft 2inch) for females.

 
2) LAWYERS

  • Must be a Ghanaian citizen by birth with no criminal record.
  • Should have served 2 – 5 years at the bar.
  • Must have completed National Service.
  • Must be computer Literate.
  • Must be of a minimum age of 21 and not more than 35 years by 31st December, 2017.
  • Must be physically and medically fit.
  • Must be of good character.
  • Must not be bonded.

 
3) HND [ICT]

  • Must be a Ghanaian citizen by birth with no criminal record.
  • Must possess basic computer skills in Network Administration and Programming
  • Must have completed National Service.
  • Must be computer Literate.
  • Must be of a minimum age of 18 and not more than 30 years by 31st December, 2017.
  • Must be physically and medically fit.
  • Must be of good character.
  • Must not be bonded.
  • Must have a minimum height of 1.68 metres (5ft 4inch) for Males and 1.57 metres (5ft 2inch) for Females.

 
4) HND [ACCOUNTING]

  • Must be a Ghanaian citizen by birth with no criminal record.
  • Must possess Higher National Diploma [HND] in Accounting.
  • Must have completed National Service.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must be of a minimum age of 18 and not more than 30 years by 31st December, 2017.
  • Must be physically and medically fit.
  • Must be of good character.
  • Must not be bonded.
  • Must have a minimum height of 1.68metres (5ft 4inch) for Males and 1.57 metres (5ft 2inch) for Females.

 
5) HND [STATISTICS]

  • Must be a Ghanaian citizen by birth with no criminal record.
  • Must possess Higher National Diploma [HND] in Statistics.
  • Must have completed National Service.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must be of a minimum age of 18 and not more than 30 years by 31st December, 2017.
  • Must be physically and medically fit.
  • Must be of good character.
  • Must not be bonded.
  • Must have a minimum height of 1.68metres (5ft 4inch) for Males and 1.57 metres (5ft 2inch) for Females.

 
6) HND [PURCHASING & SUPPLY]

  • Must be a Ghanaian citizen by birth with no criminal record.
  • Must possess Higher National Diploma [HND] in Purchasing & Supply.
  • Must have completed National Service.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must be of a minimum age of 18 and not more than 30 years by 31st December, 2017.
  • Must be physically and medically fit.
  • Must be of good character.
  • Must not be bonded.
  • Must have a minimum height of 1.68metres (5ft 4inch) for Males and 1.57 metres (5ft 2inch) for Females.

 
7) NON GRADUATE ENTRY (RECRUITS) GENERAL DUTIES

  • Must be a Ghanaian citizen by birth with no criminal record.
  • Must hold SSSCE/WASSCE Certificate with Five (5) credits including English Language or Mathematics.
  • Must be of a minimum age of 18 and not more than 30 years by 31st December, 2017.
  • Must be physically and medically fit.
  • Must be of good character.
  • Must not be bonded.
  • Must have a minimum height of 1.68metres (5ft 4inch) for Males and 1.57 metres (5ft 2inch) for Females.

 
HOW TO APPLY
The first step in applying is to purchase an Electronic Voucher at a cost of Fifty Ghana Cedis (GH¢50.00) from the various branches of the GCB Bank Ltd. across the country. It is important to note that the Ghana Immigration Service no longer sell forms for enlistment or recruitment.
After the purchase of the E-voucher, the applicant must go on-line using the address https//: www.joingis.com to fill in all the required information. Applicants must note that they must enter both the serial number of the voucher, and the pin code. Upload a passport sized photograph and click on submit.
 
NOTE

  • Sale of E -Vouchers begins from 27th November, 2017 to 8th December, 2017.
  • Completion of Application forms online begins on 29th November, 2017 and ends on 11 December, 2017.
  • Candidates who meet the requirements will be shortlisted and informed about the next step via text/e-mail.

 
NO MIDDLEMEN
The attention of the Ghana Immigration Service has been drawn to the fact that some unscrupulous persons are going around duping unsuspecting applicants with the promise of getting them enlisted into the Ghana Immigration Service. It must be noted that no individual or group of persons can help anybody since the process is as transparent as possible. Anybody who presents himself / herself as such must be reported immediately to the Police for his/her arrest and prosecution.
